Terms of service
Last updated October 7, 2026
These terms apply to merchants who install Mint Low Stock Alerts ("the app"), made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
The service
The app reads your Shopify store's products, locations and stock (read-only access), compares stock with the thresholds you set, shows low and out-of-stock variants in your Shopify admin and sends the alerts you set up by email, Slack or webhook. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a paid feature you rely on without notice.
Your data and the alerts
Alerts are based on the stock figures Shopify reports to the app. They help you reorder on time but can arrive late or not at all if Shopify, email or your Slack/webhook endpoint is unavailable; keep checking critical stock in Shopify. You choose who receives alerts and where webhooks go, and are responsible for sending them only to people and systems allowed to see your store's stock.
Billing
Plans are chosen on Shopify's plan page and billed by Shopify every 30 days in USD after the free trial. You can change or cancel at any time on that page or by uninstalling the app. Charges are handled entirely by Shopify under Shopify's terms.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the app available, accurate and secure, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 3 months before a claim.
Data processing addendum
The app does not access personal data of your customers. The only personal data it processes on your behalf are the staff email addresses you enter for alerts and your store's contact email; for those you are the controller and we are the processor. We will:
- process personal data only to provide the app's features, following your instructions given through the app's settings;
- process only the minimum data needed: the app never requests orders or customer records from Shopify;
- never sell personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models;
- keep it confidential and limit access to authorised personnel;
- encrypt it in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Cloudflare D1 encryption at rest);
- use Cloudflare (hosting, database, queue and email sending) and Shopify as our only sub-processors;
- delete alert history after 90 days and all store data after uninstall (shop redaction);
- help you respond to data subject requests and notify you without undue delay of any personal data breach.
Changes
We will post changes to these terms here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
