Getting started

1. Install the app. It reads your products and stock from Shopify (usually a minute or two) and then follows stock changes live.
2. Watch: pick the products to watch (up to 20 variants on Free), or on Pro choose "Every product that tracks stock".
3. Thresholds: set the default threshold and add rules by variant, product, collection, tag or vendor.
4. Alerts: enter who gets the emails, the hour of the daily summary, and on Pro instant email, Slack or a webhook. Use the test buttons to check each channel.

How it decides

• Stock = Shopify's available quantity, the total of your active locations (or, on Pro, each location separately or only the locations you choose).
• Out of stock: 0 or less. Low stock: at or below the variant's threshold. A threshold of 0 means "tell me only when it sells out".
• Threshold: a variant rule, else a product rule, else collection rules, else tag rules, else a vendor rule, else the default. Several matching collections or tags: the highest threshold. Up to 300 rules per store.
• Alerts fire when a variant drops (in stock → low, in stock → out, low → out) and again only after it has been restocked above its threshold.
• Changing thresholds or settings updates the dashboard without sending alerts. Snoozed and ignored variants never alert.
• Only variants whose stock Shopify tracks are watched. "Every product" watches active products unless you include draft/archived ones.

When alerts arrive

• Shopify notifies the app of each stock change; the app also re-checks all stock every 6 hours (and when you click Refresh now) to catch anything missed.
• Instant alerts (Pro) go out about a minute after the change; several changes close together arrive as one message.
• The daily summary goes out at the hour you choose (store time) and lists everything low or out right now, marks what's new and attaches a CSV.
• Email goes to up to 10 staff addresses (or your store's contact email). Each email has a link that removes that address. If sending is briefly unavailable, emails wait in a queue and go out automatically; a refused address shows on the Alerts page with Retry.

Webhook format (Pro)

A POST with a JSON body: event (low_stock.alert, low_stock.test), shop, sent_at and items: each with variant_id, product_id, product_title, variant_title, sku, vendor, location_id, location_name, state (low / out), available, threshold, since. Header X-Mint-Signature: sha256=<hex> is the HMAC-SHA256 of the raw body with the signing secret shown on the Alerts page. The app sends only to public HTTPS addresses on the standard port and doesn't follow redirects; answer with any 2xx status.

Plans

Free: watch up to 20 chosen variants, every rule type, the daily summary email, the dashboard with CSV export, snooze and ignore. Pro ($4.99 / month, 7-day free trial): watch every product with no variant limit, instant email alerts, Slack and webhook alerts, per-location alerts and a location filter. Plans are managed on Shopify's plan page (Plans → Choose a plan / Manage plan) and billed by Shopify.

Moving to Free never deletes anything: rules and chosen variants are kept, and Pro features come back when you're on Pro again.

Privacy

See our privacy policy and security policy. In short: the app reads products and stock only, never orders or customers, and never changes anything in your store.
